Jay was so touched by handicapped children that he wanted to help them. He has great admiration for their courage and determination. You need only to hear him speak about his son to believe it.

Here is Marc-Antoine, his elder son. Born with severely deformed feet, commonly known as "club feet", life for this young man revolved around courage and determination. For three consecutive years, he received weekly treatments at the Shriners Hospital. He still receives treatments on a sporadic basis.

Meet Alexandre Lemay. Alexandre was diagnosed with 'cerebral palsy'. Despite two operations to help regain the use of his legs, he is still in a wheelchair. He has lived through some very difficult times, one being two months convalescing at the Shriners Hospital. It was after an apple picking outing with Alexandre that Jay was inspired to write "MON CHEVAL DE FER". Astonished by the courage and determination of this child, his inspiration was immediate. Jay gave Alexandre the opportunity to experience studio recording.  Watching this excerpt of the musical clip will make you fall under this endearing young man's charm.

Now you know why Jay chose to help the Shriners help children. Having benefited from their help, he's trying to give back a little of what he and his family received. Suffering, no matter what the reason is sad, difficult and unacceptable; therefore Jay decided to help. For every album sold, he will donate $2.00 to the Shriners to benefit the children.
